Kotoma is a focus timer for the Mac. It is designed to work entirely on your computer.
What Kotoma stores
Your focus sessions. When a focus session completes or is skipped, Kotoma records when it started and ended, how long it was planned to be, the task label you typed, and whether it completed. This history is stored in a database on your Mac, inside the app's own container, and nowhere else.
Your settings. Phase lengths, sound choice and similar preferences are stored in your Mac's standard preferences for the app.
What Kotoma does not do
It does not send any data to us or to anyone else. There is no account, no analytics, no crash reporting and no network connection of any kind.
It does not read your clipboard, files, contacts, calendar or anything outside its own data.
Notifications
Kotoma asks for permission to show notifications so it can tell you when a phase ends. You can turn this off at any time in System Settings.
Feedback
"Send Feedback" in Kotoma opens a new message in your own mail app with the app version and macOS version filled in. Nothing is sent unless you send it, and we only receive what you choose to write.
Export and deletion
You can export your history as a CSV file from the History window. To delete everything Kotoma stores, delete the app and its container folder at ~/Library/Containers/com.surf61.Kotoma.
